About Us

 

In 2014, we opened our doors at KIPP East to 100 kindergarten students and their families. Five years later, we are now a pre-kindergarten through seventh-grade school, growing to be a full pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our vision is to offer a truly excellent education for families in New Orleans East, an area of New Orleans that has historically not had first-class options. We are part of our community and truly a neighborhood school, with 80 percent of KIPP East scholars residing in New Orleans East.

School Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Mom, Tues, Thurs & Fri. ; 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday

Office Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Mon-Fri.

Student Drop-Off/Pick Up: Parents should drop off and pick up students on the E. Hermes Street Entrance Side. After 8 a.m., parents are to walk students in and sign them in.

Visitor Information: Parents and visitors should sign in at the front desk upon arrival. Please have I.D. readily available.
