In 2014, we opened our doors at KIPP East to 100 kindergarten students and their families. Five years later, we are now a PK-8th, growing to be a full pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our vision is to offer a truly excellent education for families in New Orleans East, an area of New Orleans that has historically not had first-class options. We are part of our community and truly a neighborhood school, with 80 percent of KIPP East scholars residing in New Orleans East.

KIPP New Orleans Schools Kick Off a Milestone Year with a Warm Welcome

As we kick off our 20th school year, KIPP New Orleans Schools is celebrating more than just an anniversary—we're celebrating the growth and connections we've built with our students, families, and community. From one school in 2005 to a network of 13 today, we've shared this journey with thousands of students who have grown up with us, learned with us, and inspired us. This milestone is a testament to the promises we've made and kept: to provide a place where every student can thrive and every dream can take root. Here's to 20 years of growing together and the bright future ahead.
