KIPP East Community Primary School Leader Carey Selected as LDOE’s 2020 Louisiana Overall Principal of the Year
NEW ORLEANS – Today, KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) honors KIPP East Community Primary (KECP) School Leader Jennifer Dennis Carey for being selected by the State of Louisiana’s Department of Education (LDOE) as the 2020 Louisiana Overall Principal of the Year. She is the first charter school principal in the State of Louisiana to receive this award.
LEAP Testing
The week of April 29th - May 3rd, KIPP East will be LEAP testing. That entire week is very important, so make sure all kippsters are on time so they may have a strong start. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am - 8:00 am. Dismissal will be at 12:45 pm every day.

Welcome to 2019!!!! We are so happy to be back and ready to learn! This month we will not have school on January 21st, due to the MLK holiday. Kipp East will resume on January 22nd at 7:30am.
KIPP East Fall Fest Celebration! 2018
Get pumped! The Annual KECP Fall Fest is happening on Wednesday, October 31st from 10:00a.m.-12:15p.m.. (Pre-K, K, and 1st) from 10:00-11:00a.m., and (2nd, 3rd, & 4th) from 11:15a.m.-12:15p.m.. It is one of our biggest events as school, and our kids love it. Below is all of the information you need to know and will hopefully answer any questions you may have.

Hi Kippsters and Parents,
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Kipp East will be celebrating in a fun filled spirit week! Beginning on Monday we will be putting bullying to sleep by wearing our pajamas. Tuesday we will dress like our favorite super hero to wipe out bullying. Wednesday we will unite against bullying by wearing our camouflage, and on Thursday we will wear our favorite shirt or jersey with a number on it because "Everyone Counts'.
Thanks so much parents for all you do! And remember NO School on Friday, October 26th its Mandatory Report Card Conference.
